Processing
Follow all precaution for handling biological material. Use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Collected samples standing for hours should be inverted to move the RBC from the bottom then mixed to improve and equilibrate the homogeneity of the sample. Mix blood samples at least 8 times by hand inversion.

Room Temperature: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 48 hours. Causes for Rejection: Hemolysis; Clotted specimen; Improperly labeled specimen; Specimens collected in the incorrect tubes.
